Contemporary corporate office building with a warm copper-toned entry tower, expansive glass frontage and landscaped green space beneath a bright blue sky.

PRx Performance

Rapid growth left a fitness equipment manufacturer operating across multiple facilities. By consolidating manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and corporate operations into one scalable headquarters, the project created a more efficient workflow while providing room for future expansion and continued business growth.

Project Overview

As demand accelerated, operating from multiple locations created logistical challenges that limited efficiency and growth. The solution was a purpose-built headquarters designed to bring operations together under one roof while supporting manufacturing, distribution and workplace culture.

Through close collaboration and flexible design, the project delivered a facility built around how the company works today and how it plans to grow tomorrow.

PRx Performance

One facility for the next stage of growth

Growth creates opportunity, but it also introduces complexity.

For PRx Performance, a Fargo, ND-based manufacturer of space-saving fitness equipment, rapid expansion brought new operational challenges. Following the company's appearance on Shark Tank in 2016, demand increased significantly, leading the business to expand into multiple buildings across the Fargo area. While that approach supported short-term growth, it also created inefficiencies as manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and office functions became spread across several locations.

The company needed a long-term solution that would improve operational efficiency, support future growth and create a workplace that reflected its culture and brand.

That vision led to the development of a new headquarters campus that would bring the company's operations together under one roof.

Working with developer Enclave, design and construction teams and Varco Pruden™, PRx Performance developed a facility designed around the way the company works today while providing the flexibility to adapt as needs evolve.

Bringing operations together

Completed in Fargo, the new headquarters encompasses approximately 174,000 square feet and consolidates manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and corporate operations into a single integrated facility.

Rather than designing around individual departments, the team focused on how products, people and information move throughout the organization. The result is a building that streamlines workflow while reducing the inefficiencies associated with operating from multiple locations.

The facility includes manufacturing space, warehouse operations, distribution functions, corporate offices and employee amenities. By centralizing these activities, PRx Performance has greater visibility across operations and improved coordination between teams.

The project also supports future growth. Building systems and site planning were developed with expansion in mind, allowing the company to adapt as production requirements and business needs change over time.

That flexibility reflects a core principle of the Varco Pruden approach: creating solutions that align with the unique goals of each project rather than forcing a project to fit a predetermined solution.

Designed around people and performance

The headquarters was designed to support more than operational efficiency.

As a company focused on fitness and performance, PRx wanted its workplace to reflect the same values embodied in its products. Throughout the building, employee experience played an important role in the design process.

Large windows bring natural light deep into occupied spaces while open gathering areas encourage collaboration. Employee-focused amenities include a fitness center and wellness spaces that reinforce the company's culture and mission.

The facility creates stronger connections between office personnel, manufacturing teams and distribution operations. Employees can see how their work contributes to the broader organization, helping foster collaboration and shared ownership across departments.

The result is a workplace designed not only to support productivity but also to attract and retain talent in a competitive labor market.

Building for long-term value

Sustainability and operational performance were also key priorities throughout the project.

The facility incorporates energy-efficient systems and design strategies intended to reduce operating costs while supporting long-term building performance. By consolidating multiple facilities into one location, the company reduced redundancies and created a more streamlined operational footprint.

For the project team, success depended on close coordination among ownership, design, construction and building system partners. Bringing together manufacturing, distribution, warehousing and office functions within a single facility required thoughtful planning and collaboration from the earliest stages of design.

That collaborative process helped ensure the building aligned with both immediate operational requirements and future business objectives.

The completed headquarters represents more than a new building. It represents a strategic investment in the future of the company.

For PRx Performance, the facility provides the space, efficiency and flexibility needed to support continued growth. For the project team, it demonstrates what can be accomplished when planning, engineering and construction work together toward a shared goal.

As demand continues to evolve, the new headquarters positions PRx Performance to move forward with confidence — supported by a facility designed around performance, adaptability and long-term success.

“Working with PRx was a very collaborative process. When designing a building for any customer, it’s important for us to understand their current operations and plans for growth.”
