Award-Winning Outcomes
A new client approached Teton West to address their storage needs for recreational vehicles and sporting equipment, inspired by a building image found on Pinterest. After some design development, Teton West successfully won the Dahlberg Shop project and brought the client’s vision to fruition.
The Dahlberg Shop was recognized as a 2024 Hall of Fame Winner in the Fast-Track category. This 7,700 sq. ft. facility, overlooking Idaho Falls, features batten-style exterior panels, extensive glass, and girts installed every two feet to enhance the performance of the Panel Rib™ metal wall panels and SSR™ roof. The construction team aimed to achieve a high-end residential feel, which was accomplished through eave and rake extensions, as well as storefront glass.
Several clients have collaborated with Teton West, resulting in two additional Hall of Fame wins in 2024, both utilizing Fast-Track. One project is the 6,000 sq. ft. Lunceford Excavation Shop, designed with a custom parapet on the front and end wall, and wrap-around awnings. The building’s front exterior is accentuated by horizontal metal wall panels. The second project, Idaho Lumber & Ace Hardware, features wrap-around parapets, similar metal wall paneling, and awnings.

“We encourage our potential clients to design projects to fit Fast-Track whenever possible. The program allows agility and acceleration to work quickly and efficiently to receive building materials ahead of traditional builds while staying within budget,” says Ammon.

For example, Teton West was awarded a project bid, designed as a standard building order through Varco Pruden. The team at Teton West then offered value engineering options to the owner, allowing for thoughtful adjustments and recommendations that transformed the project into a Fast-Track build, cutting lead times in half and achieving significant cost savings.

A common misconception is that Fast-Track is only suitable for smaller, basic metal building boxes. Teton West demonstrates that it can accommodate Rigid Frame buildings up to 250 feet, with clear spans reaching 175 feet.
