Inter Miami CF Training Facility

Launching a new professional sports organization required a facility that could support competition, training and fan engagement on an accelerated timeline. The completed campus created an operational home for athletes and supporters while positioning the organization for future growth.

Project Overview

Building a professional soccer venue is about more than creating a place to play. It requires an environment that supports athlete development, team operations and an exceptional fan experience. For Club Internacional de Fútbol Miami, the challenge was delivering a complete stadium and training campus within an aggressive schedule while maintaining long-term flexibility.

Through close collaboration and innovative building solutions, the project delivered a destination designed to support competition, community engagement and the club's evolving ambitions.

Inter Miami CF Training Facility

Building a home for a new era of soccer

Creating a professional sports franchise involves more than assembling players and coaches. It requires building an identity, establishing a culture and creating facilities that support long-term success.

For Club Internacional de Fútbol Miami, now known globally as Inter Miami CF, that challenge began with developing a permanent home capable of supporting competition, training and fan engagement from day one.

Located in Fort Lauderdale, FL, the project included both a stadium and training campus designed to serve as the operational headquarters for the club. The development would become one of the most important investments in the organization's early history, providing a destination where athletes could train, fans could gather and the club could establish its presence within the South Florida sports landscape.

Delivering that vision required an aggressive schedule and a highly coordinated project team.

Working alongside Lemartec, architects and project stakeholders, Varco Pruden™ helped provide structural solutions that balanced speed, flexibility and performance. The result was a facility capable of supporting professional sports operations while creating a venue experience designed for future growth.

From the outset, the project demanded a different approach. The club needed more than a stadium. It needed a complete soccer campus that could support daily operations, player development and community engagement.

Designed around performance

Athlete performance begins long before match day.

Training environments, recovery spaces and operational facilities all contribute to a team's ability to compete at the highest level. The Inter Miami campus was designed with that reality in mind.

The project includes a professional soccer stadium alongside training facilities that support first-team operations, player development and organizational functions. By bringing these components together within one campus, the club created a centralized environment where athletes, coaches and staff can work more efficiently.

Large-span structural systems allowed the design team to create open, flexible spaces capable of accommodating the unique requirements of professional sports operations. Training environments needed to support evolving technologies and performance programs while maintaining the flexibility necessary for future modifications.

This adaptability reflects a core principle of the Varco Pruden approach: understanding how a facility will function over time and developing solutions that support future possibilities rather than simply meeting immediate needs.

The result is a campus designed to evolve alongside the organization.

Creating a destination for fans and community

Professional sports venues serve a broader purpose than competition alone.

They create experiences that connect teams with their communities.

The stadium was designed to provide an intimate fan experience while supporting the operational requirements of a modern professional sports organization. Seating areas, circulation spaces and support facilities work together to create an environment where fans can engage with the club in meaningful ways.

At the same time, the venue contributes to broader community activity throughout the region. Events, matches and team programming create opportunities for local engagement while helping establish the club's identity within South Florida.

This dual role required careful planning. The facility needed to perform efficiently for athletes and staff while remaining welcoming and accessible to supporters.

The collaboration between ownership, designers, builders and structural partners helped ensure both objectives remained central throughout the project.

Rather than treating the stadium and training facilities as separate projects, the team approached them as interconnected parts of a larger vision.

Delivering possibility through partnership

One of the most significant achievements of the project was its delivery timeline.

Creating a professional sports venue and training campus within a compressed schedule required coordination, communication and problem-solving across every stage of design and construction.

That collaborative process aligns closely with the Varco Pruden philosophy.

Projects succeed when expertise is brought together early and stakeholders work toward shared objectives. By combining engineering knowledge, construction experience and a clear understanding of the owner's goals, the project team was able to overcome challenges while maintaining momentum.

The completed campus demonstrates what is possible when flexibility and collaboration drive decision-making.

Today, the facility serves as the operational heart of Inter Miami CF. It supports athletes preparing for competition, staff managing day-to-day operations and fans gathering to support their club. More importantly, it provides a foundation for the organization's future.

For Varco Pruden™, the project reflects company values The solution was not defined by a single product or system. It was defined by a process that aligned engineering, construction and partnership around a shared vision.

The result is a facility that supports performance on the field, strengthens connections with supporters and creates opportunities for growth well into the future.

Like the club itself, the campus was built with ambition in mind. It stands as a reminder that when the right partners come together, even the most aggressive goals can become reality.
