Thanks to innovations in construction, engineering, and technology, pre-engineered buildings (PEBs) are shaping the built environment like never before. Each year, we celebrate outstanding Varco Pruden Builders and the architectural PEB, conventional steel, and hybrid projects they bring from vision to completion.
In 2024, the nationwide Varco Pruden Hall of Fame program received 125 PEB, conventional steel, and hybrid project submissions. These inspiring projects, completed over the past two years, demonstrate how our builders leverage their experience and ingenuity to deliver highly functional and aesthetically appealing structures for their clients.
The Hall of Fame selection committee annually awards:
- One best-in-class project per category
- Multiple Honorable Mentions
- A single Best Overall Project award
Winning projects feature unique qualities and show the transformative potential of Varco Pruden Builders and building systems. These pre-engineered metal structures stand out for their architectural appeal, efficient design, and practical functionality.
“We are incredibly proud of the remarkable projects our VP Builders have brought to life this year. The creativity, dedication, and excellence demonstrated in these Hall of Fame submissions reflect the highest standards of our industry,” said Varco Pruden President Ryan Hill. “Each project not only embodies the innovative spirit of Varco Pruden but also sets a benchmark for future architectural achievements. Congratulations to all the winners for their outstanding contributions.”
Best Overall Project, 2024
The Best Overall Project for the 2024 Hall of Fame Awards is the PortMiami Cruise Terminal F Facility, a large-scale retrofit project that VP Builder Lemartec Corporation completed. Lemartec uniquely designed the building with the Varco Pruden SSR™ Standing Seam Roof system, making it the first building in South Florida to have the Varco Pruden SSR installed and seamed vertically. The project included the exterior and interior retrofit and renovation of the existing terminal structures at Port Miami. Lemartec’s design-build scope of services also included general demolition, new steel structures, exterior metal panels, custom gutter systems and custom trims, glazing, mechanical, electrical, elevators/escalators, plumbing and fixtures, fire protection, interior finishes, and furnishings.
