Town of Brunswick Department of Public Works 

This renovation project for the Township of East Brunswick was the first project awarded using our Sourcewell Contract. The East Brunswick Director of Public Works wanted their existing building retrofitted with new exterior paneling. We offered pricing for three different paneling solutions and they chose to have Shadowall™ installed over a new 3” layer of insulation. There was minimal preparation required since the new panels were to be installed directly on top of the existing deteriorating wall panels. The existing secondary structural members were located to allow attachment with self-drilling screws. On a portion of the building, the panels were attached to masonry walls and self-tapping screws were used in those locations. All of the new trims were custom field bent and cut out of flat-stock material with the exception of standard J-trim and base trim that was used over the doors, windows, louvers, and at the base of the walls.

The installation was a tremendous success and gave the building the look of being new. The East Brunswick DPW was very happy with the results of the retrofit and with the execution of the Sourcewell Contract, which allowed them to issue a simple purchase order for supply and installation and eliminated the tedious conventional bid process.
