Undersea Rescue Command (URC) is the home to the United States Navy submarine rescue specialists. URC provides operational, administrative, maintenance and logistical oversight of the United States Navy’s shallow and deep water rescue systems. To support these critical operations, URC worked with Varco Pruden and Cairo Construction, a VP Builder, to design, engineer, manufacture and build this new facility.

This structure stands four stories tall. The clear-height interior is used to load and unload rescue submarines, submersibles, and associated equipment. The Varco Pruden metal building also includes a full-length crane.

The impressive facility was recognized as a 2023 Hall of Fame “best of category” winner in the Government category.
