This 34,734-square-foot structure is Connecticut’s largest Land Rover dealership. The state-of-the-art facility includes a vehicle showroom, a 14-bay service area, a lounge room, offices, and an on-site car wash.

Designed by the Varco Pruden Conventional Steel Services team, this project uses open web frames with bar joists for the roof secondary to accommodate long spans and tight deflection requirements. Integrated masonry provides lateral support to reduce the amount of bracing and coordinate with the metal stud walls. The storefront is designed using a custom bracing method, which allows for long, clear span openings to accommodate vehicles, a stylish entry, and an open-space showroom. The space also includes a mezzanine for the storage of small parts.

The design and construction of the building is in accordance with Jaguar Land Rover North America’s national image plans, and the customer is extremely pleased with the outcome.
