Introducing Will Apperson, Professional Engineer and Retrofit’s New Lead Project Manager

We have some exciting news to share! Will Apperson is now the Lead Project Manager for Retrofit Solutions for Varco Pruden Buildings.

Will may be the new Retrofit services lead, but he is not a newcomer to the company. He joined Varco Pruden in 2014 as an engineer and has worked in various capacities, such as Estimating, and in the Design Group, with seven years in production design. Will is a Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in 9 states and has designed a building in almost every state and internationally! A Memphis native, he received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Memphis. He is married and has two sons (a one-year-old and a three-year-old). Will looks forward to continuing his efforts in support of VP Builders with Retrofit and Roof-Top needs and helping to filter and direct your requests. Bill Kanke will continue to guide you through VP’s products and offerings that will best meet your customer’s needs and will still be your sales contact.

Varco Pruden’s Retrofit Solutions are supported by our dedicated team of highly experienced professionals, located at our Corporate Office in Memphis, TN. This group provides a full range of builder support from estimating to project management with additional dedicated sales support and field services upon request.

Professional Engineers Day – August 3, 2022

We are celebrating Will and the more than 75 Professional Engineers that work at Varco Pruden and BlueScope Buildings. The professional status and the practice of Professional Engineering are legally defined and protected by law. This license was first established in 1907 when the first professional engineering license was issued to Charles Bellamy in Wyoming. Since that time, licensure has expanded, and professional engineers across the U.S. have made the commitment to protect public health, safety, and welfare.*

Licensed PEs work with other engineers who are experienced in various engineering disciplines, are degreed, and hold certifications, but lack the PE designation. It’s the PE who places their seal and signature on official documents and holds the final say.
