This project included eight buildings total, spanning 60,105 sq. ft. These indoor storage buildings utilized the Varco Pruden SSR (TM) roof system and Vee Rib (TM) wall system. Masonry was also used for aesthetic appeal. The vehicle maintenance building features three vehicle bays, two of which are capable of handling our largest fuel and de-ice trucks.
After the first building was complete, Pioneer Construction started the Hangar 6 addition. Both of these projects finished on schedule and allowed the team to fully ramp up as the main Hangar 9 building delivered.
The Hangar 9 building was delivered in multiple stages due to its size and complexity, but erection began in April and finished work by the end of the 2023 year. This was one of the most complex projects the Metal Building division at Pioneer has done, but it couldn’t have gone any better.
The Duncan Aviation project was recognized as a 2024 Best of Category Hall of Fame Winner in the Transportation category.
