Affiliated with VA Tech, this building is an indoor arena used for education, training, and providing medical rehabilitation programs for horses. It was recognized as a 2024 Hall of Fame Best of Category Winner for Agriculture buildings. Offering next-level care for horses, The Jane and Stephen Hale Equine Performance Evaluation Center, with clerestory windows to allow for natural light for the arena, includes a riding area for under-saddle diagnostics, two jogging strips, and lunging areas with various surfaces.

Varco Pruden (VP) and Steel Building Specialists had to integrate the Skyliner system with an insulated plywood deck and shingle roof for the building. The purlins had to be designed and installed at approximately 2’6″ OC for this application. Concerning the wall application, VP provided spacing to the girts to accept the hat channel, the horizontal panels, and the vertical panels.
